iCal attached to wrong "iCloud" account, how do I change this?

So when I set up my iCloud account I opted to create an @me email. Only problem is that nothing else I have is under that account. I went back and created an account under the same name I have been using, but now when I log out of my @me account (on my iMac) I can't get iCal to sync with the servers. Just wanted to streamline things before it gets too complicated.....maybe one day Apple will let people combine their accounts.
Any help would be appreciated.
