I created some events on my iPhone and when I sync to iCal it moves the time several hours earlier...

I created an event for 8:30AM and it moves it to 5:30AM in iCal

So I adjusted the event back to 8:30AM in iCal and it moves it to 1:30PM on my iPhone...what is going on :(

I am getting the same thing but with Outlook. Plug in time and date in iPhone and sync into Outlook and my event is 4 hours off. Outlook to iPhone same problem...anybody know what is going on?

same thing here

I'm having the same issue here with outlook recurring events being offset by 8 hours. Not so fun getting that meeting reminder at 3am...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Kevin

Not sure if this is what anyone is experiencing, but I was having a similar issue where I would set-up events and they would be off by a few hours.

I had to set the time zone on the iPhone to a specific city. In my case I actually had to type in a major city in my time zone and then it gave me some options to select from.

If you enter 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Date & Time' > 'Time Zone', you can enter this information. Not having a specific city in my time zone set was throwing off my event timings.

Not sure if it helps...

Thanks for the tip but, unfortunately, I've tried that (as well as checking the time zone setting in my Outlook prefs) and it's still busted.

An interesting tidbit of information is that it only messes up recurring events. All normally scheduled non-recurring events come through just fine. Very odd....

Thanks to anyone who might be able to help!

Cheers,

Kevin

i'm having the same problem on Vista - i entered a new event for the 10th on outlook - when i sunk it with the phone - i came out on the phone for the 11th. when i fixed it on the phone and did a re-sync - it showed up on my outlook fo rthe 10th but 4 hours earlier - looks like apple has some bug fixes to do. seems like they didn't test vista very well
