I'm not in front of my MacBook right now, but can't you just try to print the calendar, and when the print dialog window opens up, hit the "SAVE AS PDF" button?

Yes...that should work. When you go to print in iCal (at least in iCal 2.0.3 on my computer), you first get a window asking you to define the date range and some other options. Once you click "Continue," it takes you to the standard print dialog page where you select the printer and other printer-specific options. In the bottom left corner, you'll see a button called "PDF" that activates a drop down menu. The first option is "Save as PDF..." Select a location and a filename, and you've got your PDF!
