iCal - Swing and a miss

I love apple but I dont think they really listened to its customers on issues with iCal. I would say a vast majority of people dont leave their computers running 24/7 they either put them to sleep or shut them down. A big complaint was that the alarms dont work when you do this... I just dont see why apple didnt fix this in the new build?!?!

with that said how hard would it be to make an add on app to fix with problem if it can be done... or has it been done already

yea.. something i was thinking about would be when it wakes from sleep that it checks if any alarms were missed. If they were missed and it's still before the event time then send the alarm anyway.

oh jeez...thats really lame...for some reason i thought that it didn't miss them...huh...but i was wondering the other day why it missed one and i thought it was by chance...

And what I REALLY don't understand is why the .Mac sync doesn't send you and e-mail reminding you of an event, even if your computer is asleep.

Obviously, if you have a .Mac account, you have a .Mac e-mail. It should send the reminder automatically.

Make sure that you send feedback via the feedback menu item. That is what it is there for. Maybe this is fixed in Panther since it allows scheduled boots.
