Okay, I have to wait until MobileMe syncs at its 15 minute interval to get any updates I may have made on Me.com (it doesn't get pushed down for some reason...I thought Me to Mac was pushed, but not vice versa).

Now, iCal will display this:

sync_alert.png

I've hunted around and cannot find a way to stop this message being displayed - I want everything to be in sync, but it is annoying that this keeps popping up.

So, two questions - is push from Me.com to iCal actually pushed or is it just a sync interval, and how do I get iCal to auto-accept any new/updated event requests?

Also, sometimes pushed/synced events don't show up in iCal unless I quit and relaunch it.

I'm not at my mac right now, but I think under system prefs->Mobile Me. There is a setting "notifiy if more then ___ events change." By default it is 5%.One of the options is never. But since calendar sync doesn't work for me I can't confirm that will stop the diaolg from being displayed.

Nothing under MobileMe preferences or iCal preferences which would disable this prompt.

Cheers.

Ahh, thanks!

Although when I sync with MobileMe, I sometimes have to restart iCal for the changes to appear. And it still isn't pushing it to iCal.

MobileMe doesn't actually push data down to iCal. It looks like it uses the Back to My Mac connection to tell your computer to begin a sync.

If you don't have Back to My Mac started and showing it's status as ok (green), then it can't push and you'll have to wait for your next scheduled sync.

I didn't realise that, thanks.

I'm just left with my final problem - iCal isn't consistent with displaying updates after a sync, I sometimes have to relaunch it to get the events updated/added.

Mine worked(past tense) w/o back to my mac enabled. Now it doesn't work either way, enabled or not.

I just flip between month/week view and that seems to update it.
