Hello All,

I've recently been blessed with an iphone 3G, coming from the word for Treo 650. I can't express just how much more I like the iphone. (3G, bought when the firmware was 2.0.0, upgraded to 2.0.1 and then 2.0.2).

But there a a few minor issues, the biggest being syncing events with iCal (iCal 2.0.5 on 10.4.11).

I was able to sync the old Treo successfully with iCal, with all of my many years of old calender events, and a few new ones.

But syncing to the iphone Calender, I only get events added after the initial ihpone sync date. Newly added events, and events that I put in iCal before the iphone to take place in the future. But nothing previous to July-whatever, when I first synced the phone.

iCal shows everything, going back many years. I have two calenders within iCal, they are both seen on the phone, but again, only events after the initial iphone sync date show on the phone.

I'm thinking I'm missing a simple check box somewhere, but I haven't found it, either on the forums, on the big iphone user guide, or just poking around.

Does anybody have any ideas?

thank you for your time.

Hi, fellow Treo converter. :) I came from a 700P (my third Treo and 7th or 8th Palm), and I also love my iPhone 3G!

Yep, there's a checkmark in iTunes, in the info tab, that gives you the option of how far back to sync iCal events onto the iPhone. I tell it to go back 1000 days, but you can set it to whatever you want. I forget the default, but I think it's something like 30 days.

Thank you!

That's it, thank you!

The option was practically staring me in the face, but it took some kind direction from you for me to pay attention to it, I guess.

Thank you for your help!
