So, I just can't find a straight answer to this.

Everything I have found so far is written from a nonfictional english professor or someone that doesn't know what they are talking about.

I am looking for a straight forward stereo instructions how to complete the following task.

My wife has a Macbook pro 13" and a iPod 32GB.
I have a Macbook pro 15" and just got iPhone 4S.

We are moving from 3 paper calendars to iCal for our house hold.

My iCal has: (edited for names)
Me.
Work.
Family.
Wife.
Above is different colors as well.

My wife have not started an iCloud or iCal yet. We would like to share the above iCal and both have viewing and writing ability on all four devices you see above.

We both have our own iTunes account and do not wish to share contact, music, photos, etc.

I read about "sharing" a calendar, but it is a URL and not part of the iCal set up.

please help!

Thanks

Thank you for posting, but that link shows how to start everything. Didn't answer my question above.

Your Wife needs to have an iCloud Account (email address). You then share your iCloud Account with her email address and give her rights. The Share button is just to the right of the Calendar Name. The URL is if you want to Share your Calendar as Public which is not the case here. Once she logs into her account she should see your Calendar. Not sure if she has to "accept" it since it was a while I shared it with my Wife. You may not want to Share all of your calendars.
