I hope Apple release a camera with iOS similar to what Samsung is doing with Android and S Galaxy Camera. I would definitely buy one if it had a simple ui, ton of apps and take great images. If Samsungs camera take great images it is a sure buy!

Apple won't do it, simple as that. The 8 mp camera on the 4S is decent enough for photos and there is no way they would make a camera with apps, it isn't Apple like. I am very interested to see what Samsung does with it, but I guarantee Apple will never do it.
Restrictions of the OS. That's why 3rd party apps arent much better. You'll never see settings for things like ISO, white balance, etc on the iPhone at all let a lone the native app. Best panorama shot I have is the one included in vanilla ice cream sandwich/jelly bean.
Edit : I miss understood your post. I doubt Apple will make a camera anytime soon. Samsung has been making point and shoots forever. It only made sense for them to make one with a more advanced UI and since they already do android that works perfect for them.

Apple has already tried cameras in the past. Obviously they've also tried with the iPod Touch which has a horrible VGA still camera.
When you're a company aiming for simplicity, a camera is not something easily done in a way that benefits everyone. The simplest it gets, is the way Apple has already designed it - One button with focus. Developers are the only reason the camera is even a big deal on the iPhone, and they can't even do more than just gimmicky filters. It takes a lot to be able to even do panoramas (everyone codes it differently) because it's not natively supported.
No one is going to buy that Galaxy Camera, trust me. Maybe a few, but it's not going to be a million unit seller.

I believe you're wrong. The reason Apple didn't succeed the last time was because they didn't had iOS. If you remember, they also didn't sell a lot of macs and see how that turned out. I am looking for a camera right now and I have looked at Sony nex series cameras but the ui of the menu system is just horrible.
I am also convinced that Apple will wait and see how Samsung does. We won't see a device from Apple this year or the first half of 2013.
Because it's an actual camera UI that camera users who actually know how to use a camera actually know their way around?
You say that as if they have never done it before....
They might have got away with it before but now they need to be really careful.
It surely doesn't - it's just a P&S with a measly 1/2.3" sensor. Nowhere as good as, say, the Nokia 808.
After all the defensive posturing "the best Camera is the one you have with you" hint: iPhonecam, I don't think Apple will try to push another iDevice consisting of only a camera.
Lots of people said there would never be a phone, a tablet, etc etc. And guess what?
It is possible and I believe if they did produce one it would be sold mainly because it is from Apple. Eventually it'll catch up with them and people won't want the logo over P&S quality (there is quality to be had in P&S cameras as well), but it will take some time for the kool-aide to wear off.

This camera dont´t have great specs but the software looked great. You don´t have to buy a point and shoot camera if you´ve an iPhone 4S but you can´t compare it to a DSLR. It would also be cool to have apps on a DSLR.

The problem with the Galaxy camera is that owners of Samsung smartphones will pay top £/$ for a bunch of features they already have in their phone. I think this would've been better as some sort of addon to the phone.

Well if you understood the basics of photography then you wouldnt be asking this question.
Every button on a dslr and within its menus, regardless of the design, has a specific feature that all photographers understand.
if you gave me a canon, sony, nikon etc then it would all mean the same just put in a different way. DSLR's are not for beginners looking for a pretty ui.
keep it simple, black and white and quick to activate to catch the shot.
if you are interested in photography i suggest you check out a French photographer named Serge Ramelli. He has his own youtube site and provides fantastic basic videos on dslr features and photoshop/lightroom
