I currently use FlickIM to connect to AIM. How would an iChat app work without killing the battery? Apple seems to have steered away from applications that use battery intensive features. To connect to aim it would have to receive a persistant connection, as opposed to SMS, which can simply wait for a response. Am I missing something, or how could they create an iChat application that didn't sacrifice the iPhones battery life?
No complaints about the iPhone to Apple here. AT&T has it's problem with service in some remote locations, but I've been a Cingular customer for a while and it's just something I've learned to live with.
