Hey,

I'm new to this AIM thing, my gf has AIM, so I thought I should probably get a screenname. (I use MSN mainly). How do you log out of iChat and then when you enter the application again, it will ask you to sign in again. That is the way I like it, so that no one can get into my buddy list and talk to my "buddies". I've checked out the preferences and nothing really seems to work. Help would be appreciated.

Make use of your keychain.

First, in the Preferences of iChat, in the Accounts pane, uncheck the one that says automatically sign on. Next, find and open the application called Keychain Access (it should be in your Utilities folder in the Applications folder if you haven't moved it). Under the Edit menu, go to Settings for "whateveryourloginnameis". Change the interval for the keychain to lock to a smaller number.

Does that help?

YEAH it did. Thats exactly what I wanted. It was weird because it was working that way on my TiBook, buw when I came over to my desktop G4, it was automatically doing that. The keychain access thing did it. Thanks.
