Anyone know how to make iChat change your status to available from away when you send a message to someone? Just like in AIM? I cant figure this out.

I don't think you can do that. The best you can do is when you come back from being "idle" it will take down your away message, or ask you what to do.

Why can't you just take it off yourself? Choose available...

If you forget, and IM someone, then you can take it off to avoid all the auto replies. That's what I always end up doing.

Because if i get an IM from someone and reply, then it would be easier for it to just automatically take me off away than for me to have to physically do it myself. I guess iChat isnt that advanced yet.

Is this something you could use automator to do? I have never used it, but perhaps it would work.
