If you have issue with your phone while being jailbroken, will a good cleaning from iCleaner Pro work just as good as a restore and re-jailbreak? Or does it not clean everything? Just curious since 7.1 is around the corner.
Also is iCleaner pro a top app or is something better out there in Cydia?

iCleaner is the best utility for cleaning out junk/temp/cache files. Sometimes it can resolve minor issues. But it is no where close to replicating a clean restore. For that, you will want to use iLEX RAT. Not sure if it's been updated for iOS 7 but I'm sure there's a post here discussing it. Or search google.

If you are having issues or think you are on the verge of issues, just restore and re-jailbreak now before Apple stops signing 7.0.4 and pushes 7.1.

A single lesson I just learned today (!) don't use it more than every few weeks.

An experienced member here ( ;) ) told me so and a google search confirmed it!

(((I love these forums!)))

What do you mean? Why?

He's referring to this thread. There are older ones too. And google will have additional info too obviously.

Thanks! I probably will try to restore this weekend just to be safe and fresh before the update, but just out of curiosity what symptoms displayed would tell you if you're on the verge of issues?

There isn't any particular list. It's more of a string of events:

Low memory crashes>troubleshooting(updating tweaks)>springboard crashes>more troubleshooting(disabling/removing tweaks)>no solution>rage/pulling out hair>posting on macrumors forums>hating all replies and waiting for the answer you want to hear>never receiving said answer>throw hands up>restore from backup to the current firmware>hope no bad traces come through on backup>if bad traces exist, restore as new>hope that said current firmware is still jailbreakable

This seems to be a typical string of events :D

Semi restore for iOS 5.0-7.0.5 is also being worked on: http://semi-restore.com/index7.html

No, I purposely wrote stu[id like that for a reason. You think i care how i type in a forum? LOL Nice try, idiot. Go troll somewhere else.

Don't be angry. I am sure there are people in your life that care about you and enjoy your whimsical misuse of the English language.

I ran iCleanerPro just now and am still seeing pointless posts. Did I do something wrong?

I keep getting an update notification for Icleaner 7.1.3-1 but nothing is showing in Cydia, anyone else have this issue?

(im using the basic one not the pro version)

When I open up iCleaner Pro everything is checked except "Cydia sources" and "Unused dependices". What are they and when should I check them? Is there guide/FAQ on what each setting is/does?

it's in the description page of icleaner pro; do you not check out the description of apps/tweaks before you install something?
