iCloud and Desktop Sync

Anyone else surprised that iCloud doesn't sync with desktops? I was expecting documents to sync like Dropbox - a dedicated folder that automatically puts all its contents in the cloud - but it looks like you have to manually download and upload documents to the desktop. Hopefully we'll see an MS Office hook in there soon enough.

Syncing with my desktop like Dropbox was one the the biggest reasons I have been on the edge of my seat dying for ios5 to come out. I am more than shocked, I am gravely dissappointed!
