When updating to ios5 today it said I had conflicts, that made me think....what is the best way tomsync all this stuff together? What would you guys recommend? Right now I have iCloud off.

Thanks for your help.

here is my plan.

Sync calendar with "google", because it could sent invitee to other platform.

Sync my daily files with "dropbox", because it works with all kinds of OS.

Sync the rest with "iCloud", since it is cool!

PS: not sure if I should use icloud photo stream, cuz it is a little wired to put my photos on the cloud, which I dont really know who has access to.

PS2: It is really a issue to use location service for me, seems to be creepy to be located anytime:)

On the iPad, set up your account with Exchange and then choose what you want it to sync with. You'll be given three options:

mail, calendar and contacts

set up the account like you normally would but when it asks for server, put in:

m.google.com

This way, all your information you choose to have sync'd will be pushed to the iPad.

Can you elaborate on this more for me?

So I shouldn't click GMail and sync them that way?
I want to sync my Gmail and Calendar with my new iPhone...But I need to do it through Exchange?

Great question as I don't have an iPhone but everything else seems to match up via imap and not pop 3.

Imap is good and Pop 3 is bad...right?

I synod it and I'm using it through my Android Device...I'm assuming if I set everything up the same way through my iPhone it should work.

Never heard of using Exchange...everything is so damn complicated lol

I just finished switching everything over from Google to iCloud. I like it a little better for the time being. I just turned everything I had synced with Google (except my gmail) off on all of my iDevices. I'm happy with the way it keeps my calendars and contacts synced across my MacBook Pro, iPhone 4, and iPad. I could never get the 3-way syncing quite right with Google. Now it's perfect!

How did you do that?
My Gmail won't sync on iCloud nor will my Google Calendar?

Please give me a step by step if you can?

I wouldnt call one good or bad. Imap syncs across all devices but can lag behind where as pop 3 is stores locally. Exchange pushes to all devices a
Most instantly.

I've never had issues with google working on all my devices.
