iCloud and videos..

So I noticed from the start that iCloud does not send videos to my Mac.

I am fine with that but I got a couple questions about back up and restore.
In order to jail break my phone, long story short, I had to delete my iCloud account (fully backed up before).. backup to my Mac.. and then restore and run the jailbreak.

While this worked thankfully, I don't have any of my videos on my phone because the restore from the Mac backup does not have the saved videos.

Going to iCloud.com does not allow me to see my videos from my iPhone and can't seem to figure out how to access them and get them to my computer.

Any help or input and thanks beforehand as always.

I don't believe iCloud saves videos, at all, so if you didn't back them up, they're gone.

$0.99 cent "Video Stream" app in the app store is the perfect solution for this guy. It functions perfectly and you can access your videos anytime from iCloud (as well as store them too!)

If they're still in an iCloud backup, you'd have to do a full restore to get them back, you can't get stuff selectively.

I think it's outrageous that I cannot log in on the website and pull my videos off....

Next question.. Doing a full backup from my phone right now after it's already been restored won't delete previous things backed up correct? It will just save my new things and keeps my old things as well or will it start fresh?

There's no way iCloud could be free if people were doing this. It would be a huge amount of bandwidth for them JUST for videos. They're not trying to be Youtube.

Right now that feature is there for if you need to restore all your data. That's not going to happen nearly as often for most people, so they can afford to offer that for free.

I paid for $40 for mine, so my service was not free.

As long as you are backing up to the same backup. What you currently have on your phone is what you will have later after you restore

I'm sorry, what I mean is that my photos and videos backed up in the cloud will still be there and it will just roll over to this new backup correct.

For instance, if I turn on iCloud backup again, it won't erase all my videos and photos that were saved from old backups correct?

Correct.

When you do a Restore from iCloud on a freshly reset device, you can select from a list of time-stamped backups. The backups are incremental.

They will eventually get erased of course, and don't know what the timeframe is. But there were 8+ in the list of time-stamped choices I had when I last recovered my iPad.

Okay, but all the previous photos/videos from the first backup will just roll into the new ones right?
