Hello, thought this may be a known jb issue, so posting it here.

iPhone 5s running 7.1.1, jailbroken via Pangu.

Upon attempting to turn the on iCloud backup toggle the phone crashes to springboard.

Phone was setup as new originally when I restored to fresh copy of 7.1.1 (back when it was being signed) down from iOS8.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

just tried it and can enable iCloud backup. I'm on 7.1.2 but that shouldn't change much since you're still usign the same PanGu to jailbreak

must be a tweak you have installed that's causing this

Thanks for the reply, that is certainly possible.

Will have to play around with it later, but none of my tweaks jump out at me.

Tweaks listed below in case anyone has seen this before. All tweaks are from paid/legitimate sources.

  • BiteSMS
  • BytaFont 2
  • Cloaky
  • disabled
  • f.lux
  • Mobile Terminal
  • OpenSSH
  • Patience for Winterboard (not running)
  • Phantom for Snapchat ^_^
  • Winterboard
  • Zanilla for Winterboard (running)
  • Zepplin
  • 3G Unrestrictor

boot up in substrate disabled mode (hold volume up while booting the phone)

see if settings crash when you try to enable icloud backup. if it still does, then it's not a tweak related problem. if it does not, then it's one of those tweaks

none of them jump out to me except disabled. i never heard of that tweak before

try changing back to the default font too. long story short, bytafont doesn't use cydiasubstrate to change your font. they actually replace the system font files and move the default font files to another location. some apps don't play nice with 3rd party fonts and will crash

although i don't think this is the issue, it doesn't hurt to try

I did not know that trick, awesome.

And it still crashes, so I guess I'm in the wrong sub-forum now!

Disabled will ensure that you are not locked out of your phone for (x minutes) after failed passcode attempts. My thinking here is my phone gets stolen I would want the thiefs to keep trying to guess my passcode, which is mathematically very unlikely.

If my phone locks them out after 10 attempts they may just turn the phone off and would render Find My iPhone useless. (Yes with new iCloud restore settings they would still be hosed after a restore, but I would like to find my phone before it gets that far)

Thanks again for the replies. I will poke around normal iOS7 sub-forum.
