i updated an ipad to ios5 and went to try the icloud backup and didnt seem like it was working. it starts then stops and pretty much just stays like that. how long should i typical backup be? i know it'll vary by size of the backup but whats the ballpark?

also tried doing an icloud backup on my phone and same thing, at one point it says 6 hours! definitely a lot less than the 5gb limit also

the wifi during the ipad process was fios at 25mbps and my phone was on fios at 8mbps

thanks

i haven't done a backup, but my mate has.
it took him a good few hours to do.
it backs up everything thats on the phone, so if you have 32GB worth of stuff, thats what it backs up.
and when it backs up afterwards, it will only backup whats changed or different.
so expect it to take awhile

the iOS backups don't count towards the storage on iCloud, because most f the apps and musics get free storage in the cloud anyway
