icloud backup question

I'm confused with icloud. In iTunes, there are two options, backup to icloud, or backup to this computer, but what's the differences with back up to icloud on the iphone??? If my phone will backup to icloud when it's charging, y would i use "backup to icloud" in itunes? If i choose backup to my computer in Itune, does that means my phone will backup to icloud, also my computer will have a copy, is that right? Also wants to know..if choose 'backup to icloud' in itunes, when itunes will upload the file to icloud? But at this moment, my icloud account saying that I have an IMCOMPLETE iphone backup data ...what can i do to have it complete?

I think back up to iTunes means your back up will be stored on your computer and your computer only. Where as back up to iCloud stores the back up in the cloud only.

I think back up to iTunes means your back up will be stored on your computer and your computer only. Where as back up to iCloud stores the back up in the cloud only.

I do understand about this, just wondering what's the differences between "iTune backup to icloud" and 'my phone backup to icloud" if they are the same, then i can choose 'backup to icloud' on my phone, and 'backup to my computer' in iTune, so this way i can have copy in both location...
