Alright, so at some point when my wife had her iPhone 4; I set her up with her own iCloud account. I was able to turn on iCloud backup and it was working.
For the past 5-6 months (she now has my 4S) I have not been able to get it working (at all). I have "deleted" the "backup" to clear anything out and have made sure her camera roll was not being backed up, as she has like 10 GB of pics.
I have tried turning it off and then back on, but it still never backs up. I "delete" her backup and it shows 0 KB and 5 GB worth of free iCloud space, yet it tells me there is not enough storage.
Guys, what am I doing wrong here? I'm fairly intelligent when it comes to these kinds of things, but what am I missing? I have been backing her phone up every month or so through iTunes, but i'd rather her take advantage of nightly backups.
Please help me; as this is irritating me, more than her...
EDIT: After months of being puzzled, I have resolved this issue. I noticed her log in Messages was "jam packed" with conversations from over a year. Her "other" category in iTunes was up to 7.1 GB. After I deleted her messaging history it went down to 6 GB. I then used an app called "PhoneClean" which got a bunch of junk files off her phone (unrelated). I was able to get her iCloud backups working once again after clearing out her messages. I am a happy camper once again
