First of all, I've connected my user account on the computer to my Apple ID, and I'm running Lion 10.7.1 and not 10.7.2, so maybe my problems will be solved once 10.7.2 comes out... But I'll ask anyway ;)

I installed the iOS 5 GM and set up an iCloud account and synced everything to iCloud. When I later checked my calendar (in the iPhone) I saw everything was double - one entry from "from my Mac" and the other from iCloud. iCal and iCloud were both as they should (only single entries). If I, in the iPhone, removed the entry from iCloud it disappeared from my calendar online (icloud.com) but not from iCal, and vice versa. Same thing goes for new entries - I have to choose between being able to sync it to iCal or iCloud (if I don't want duplicates).

There is no problem on the iPhone side though, it syncs both to iCal and iCloud so I have everything there no matter if I add it in iCloud or in iCal.

I reckon I have to be missing something, because having to choose between using iCal or the iCloud calendar in order to have an identical calendar on the computer as on the iPhone doesn't sound right. Does anyone know why this is?

And when it comes to iPhoto... There's no Photo Stream despite me having taken a few pictures. Anyone? :)

Wait till 10.7.2. That has iCloud support 10.7.1 doesn't.

All of your problems will be solved once 10.7.2 comes out. Mac OS is not at all set up for iCloud yet so Photo Stream will not work at all.

As for you iCal problem, unfortunately until you get 10.7.2 (which will be monday or tuesday) you WILL have to pick between iCal and iCloud. The reason you have double entries is probably because when syncing your iPhone, you're having iTunes sync iCal events that are the same as events on your iCloud. People got confused with this during MobileMe too.

In order to fix this (you might still need to do this when 10.7.2 comes out), you have to stop syncing your iPhone with either iCal or iCloud. The option is in the "Info" iPhone tab in iTunes. iTunes will say in little letters below "Sync Calendar" that you are already syncing through iCloud and checking this option may result in duplicate entries. The same thing will happen if you still sync contacts through both Mac OS and iCloud.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I installed 10.7.2 GM and everything except for Photo Stream and "Find my Mac" works great, but I guess there will be updates for that quite soon.

Also, as a side note, it seems like the problems with e-mails from the @me.com account not being pushed out is solved. Man, installing iOS 5 and 10.7.2 made my life a little bit easier :)
