iCloud calendar sharing?

Does anyone have instructions on how to share a single iCloud calendar with another user? I'm asking on behalf of someone else, and he wants to know how to share a single iCloud calendar, if it's possible to share a custom selection of multiple calendars, and how to share said calendars with iOS and non-iOS users alike. Thanks!

From iCal I just control+mouse click on the calendar I want to share and then the drop down is self explanatory from there.

Or on iCloud.com you just click the little icon next to the name and it is self explanatory from there. See attached pic.

iOS devices cannot initiate sharing :-(
