I use Apple products for my business and pay for extra iCloud space. Normally on the 17th or so I get an email from Apple showing the charge, which I save as a PDF since this is a business expense. This month they never sent the email but they did charge me and I need proof of the charge.

After looking around, it seems as if I have to download iTunes in order to look at my billing history, is that true?

That seems insane. People complain about Apple and I usually shrug it off. But to force me to download, install, and use a program just to see the charges that they billed me for something completely outside of that program is absolutely horrendous. There is no reason that they can't just put it on their website.

Have you actually contacted Apple about the bill?

Your credit card bill ought to be proof enough.
Definitely not.

The charge on the credit card doesn't say what it is. It could be a charge from me purchasing a video game. During an audit you would need some type of documentation showing what the purchase was, which the invoice details.

Why would I spend the time trying to contact Apple about the bill? I don't think you understand what is going on here.

The charge was the standard monthly charge that I always get. The issue is that Apple did not send an invoice for the charge this month. I would like that invoice, but it seems as if the only way to get it is to download and install iTunes, which I think is really crazy. The tech giant Apple can't have a web based portal like every other company in the world, including my own tiny company?

I've never been audited so I had no idea they were that strict. But if you showed 11 invoices for iCloud service and miss one, I don't think they would argue with a credit card charge appearing at the right time for the right amount.

I assure you they don't have real people sending the email. So when you say "Apple did not send an invoice" you really mean "I didn't see the invoice". Have you searched your email? It's probably there.

So you think its a waste of time to contact Apple to get documentation of the bill, but you don't find it a waste of time to post the issue here? Literally none of us can help you. Only Apple can help you. So contact Apple as suggested.

Yes, I shouldn't have to wait on the phone and deal with their horrible customer support to get my statement, something that every other company in the world freely offers without having to download advertisement filled bloatware.

I don' t know that and either do you. Maybe there is some type of portal that someone knows of. If not, then awareness is the way to get changes for the better. This forum is filled with people describing their opinions on what they would like Apple to change. If you don't like it, do not return to this thread.

The email is not there, it was never received. I never said that a person sends it. Either way, it does not matter. What matters is that it is not available on their website like it should be.

In any normal person's mind, it is unacceptable to have to download and install a program to get a PDF or printable invoice from a tech giant.

With all due respect, I think you are blowing this completely out of proportion. If you are allowed to post your opinion, then so am I.

You don’t need to download iTunes to view purchase history. You can do it directly in settings on an iPhone or iPad tied to that iCloud account.

The fact that you are calling iTunes advertisement bloatware just shows that you are acting unreasonable.

Apple has phenomenal customer service and you can arrange a time for them to contact you, thus, no waiting on hold. And they will email you a new copy of the invoice.

The fact that you think Apple is going to come here and read this thread and then make a change is simply untrue. Contact Appe if you have a problem with their policies. Apple.com/feedback

Lastly, do not tell me not to return to this thread. It is a public forum and I can post in any thread that I want to.

You can view your billing history in any iOS device by going to Settings-iTunes and App Store-view Apple ID-Purchase history.

Apple has been really consistent with emailing me receipts for stuff I purchase and my monthly charges.

I've had fake Apple email bills from scammers trying to get me to click links on stuff I didn't buy.

You can view your billing history in any iOS device by going to Settings-iTunes and App Store-view Apple ID-Purchase history.

Next, find the purchase, and select ">" to the right of "Total billed". You'll see a summary of the bill. At the bottom, there is the word "Resend". Select "Resend" and a new copy of the bill will be emailed to you.

This I did not know. Guess I never clicked on "Total Billed" before. Thank you!
