iCloud Document Sync

Hi. Apologies if I have overlooked the obvious, but i'm a bit confused on how icloud works.

1) Should my existing iwork documents on my mac automatically appear in the cloud? At the moment only a new document created on my ipad appears in the cloud.

2) Similarly can existing iphone camera roll photos be transfered to the photostream?

3) Finally, can the photostream be viewed on the icloud website?

1. Is iCloud enabled on your Mac?
2. Not that I know of. Photo Stream appears to be extremely limited at the moment.
3. Not that I have seen.
