Well I've gotten my iPad working with iOS 5, my Mac updated with 10.7.2, and iCloud enabled on both, so I wanted to figure out how the iCloud will work to share a document.

I created a dummy document in Numbers on my Mac, and after some searching, discovered I could not figure out any way to share it on the cloud. :(

The Mac version of the iWork apps still has not been updated to talk with iCloud, so it's documents can be (manually only, not automatic uploads either) uploaded to iWork.com, where the iPad app can't get at it.

The reverse is also true as of now, in that documents uploaded from the iPad to iCloud.com can not be seen by the "Show Shared Documents" menu item on the Mac.

I guess some software updates still need to be released for iCloud to make it useful...

I'm really hoping the automagic document consistency thing will work on Mac as well at some point.

The release notes for Pages for iOS say that you have to drag and drop documents from your Mac to the iWork section of iCloud.com in order for them to sync to your iOS devices. You also have to download them to your Mac from that same section. I don't know why Apple just didn't update the desktop iWork apps to sync automatically with iCloud.
