I'm currently paying for iCloud but thinking of moving to another provider.
The Apple eco-system integration is great, BUT, it falls short in most other areas compared to competitors..
- Due to no selective sync most of the space I am paying for is wasted. I can't use it for backups or large files as they'll continue to take up space on my local disk
- No real app integration, such as sending attachments via provider in Airmail email app.
- No file sharing
The alternatives are;
Dropbox
GDrive
Sync.com
Office 365
pCloud
..?
One thing I like about iCloud is online document editing. This is where Office 365 would shine, and you get Exchange email, desktop office and 1TB space.
Dropbox is obviously the most mature and allows exporting their new 'Paper' documents to docx, which is good, but i'd also love spreadsheet document editing.
G Drive offers online editing, their web apps are great and I believe their iOS apps allow editing, though i'm not a massive fan of the format it converts files to.. It essentially creates duplicates.
I've never tried pCloud or Sync.com.
Have I missed any worth checking? Which provider offers the best workflow for you?
Thanks
