Hi I’m 97% on my iPhone and using iCloud Drive for storing files. The only Apple device I have is an iPhone. My personal computer is a windows pc and work computer is a windows pc. My main email address is gmail. Never use Apple email.

I needed to send files to my tax preparer and was at work. I went on the web based iCloud. I can’t download iCloud for windows at work because of admin issues.

When I went to send files and share the only option was to send from my Apple email. When I’m on my iPhone and in iCloud Drive I’m able to send files from my gmail email.

How can I send files from gmail via iCloud on a desk top windows pc?

Thanks!

Can you not download the files from iCloud to your PC then attach it to the email from there?

Doesn’t work can’t drag when I’m on iCloud web access. The bigger issue now is I sent the file from my Apple email address but the recipient doesn’t have iCloud and it’s asking him to sign into iCloud to view the file.

You would need to use the download option to a folder location on your PC and then attach it to an email from that folder location. Two step process but hardly a long one as basically clicking a couple of buttons.

Can you access your iCloud files on your phone and then send them via email on your phone?

Yes easily from any email address that’s set up. That looks like the best way, just send files from my iPhone and not desk top.
