iCloud Drive Document Picker goes away on its own

Wondering if anyyone else is seeing this annoying problem -

iPad Air running 8.1.
I call up the iCloud Drive document picker, and as I am trying to click or scroll through folders or files, the doc picker simply recedes back to the bottom of the screen and disappears. It simply won't stay open/active.

I've done a hard reset on the iPad and the problem persists. I have about 5 gigs of data on my iCloud drive.

I get that same problem with a variety of apps trying to use iCloud Drive, which suggests to me that its not the apps, its a server-side problem with Apple. Which wouldn't surprise me at all at the moment.

Yep, those were exactly my assumptions as well. The problem for me is replicable from multiple apps, and it occurs on both my iPad and my iPhone 6.
