Hey! I just installed the Yosemite DP8 on my Mac and have been using iOS 8 GM on my iPhone for a couple of days now. I now decided to go for it and turn on iCloud Drive. Now it's been showing the "setting up" circle for minutes and nothing has really happened. Does it just take a while or is this some kind of bug anyone else ran into?

Also: I understood it so that when I use Yosemite AND iOS8 that my files would be able to sync between Devices (like in Keynote, Pages....). Is that true? Also: Will the existing Keynote, Pages... Version just work or is there some kind of Beta Update I have to install on my Mac and on iOS?

Thanks!

It does take a while. It took me about an hour to get it all set up.

And yeah, the files sync, and yes, you can use the current versions of the iWork apps and they will just work.

Thanks so much, my hero! :)

Now it actually gets interesting: (On Yosemite it is still loading) I just looked into iOS and wanted to turn it on there and what do I see? It shows "Off" in the iCloud menu, but when I go into the settings for it shows "On". I turned it off and on again so now it should actually be on maybe :D

Not working properly...

After the night I looked into my Macs and my iPhone and iCloud Drive seems to be set up.

Now, I see all my Keynote, Pages, Numbers documents in the iCloud Drive folder on all my Macs (and my iPhone). I made (for example) a numbers document on my iMac and I can see it on iOS (in Numbers.app) and on my MacBook Pro. Funny thing is though that I can't seem to open it on my MacBook.

Also, changes that I make to the document do not get synced... :(

Anyone has any idea what happened or what I can do?

Thanks!

turn on iCloud drive or not?

I installed the PB of Yosemite, but did not turn on iCloud drive when I installed it because I was running iOS 7 and need access to my docs in the iCloud. Now that I will be able to upgrade to iOS 8 tomorrow (not withstanding any server issues :), Can I just turn on iCloud drive on my computer and everything will work seamlessly or should I wait until the final yosemite version comes out?!?!

Thank you

You can upgrade fine, it will be the same as if you upgrade your account from within iOS 8 tomorrow.

The only thing I can see on any other device is the files it should sync, but with a cloud symbol on the right... nothing happens :(...

ANYBODY? :D
