iCloud drive on Yosemite?

i can't see the folders that are there by default in icloud drive folder in the finder... why is that?

also, if i put a file in OSx icloud drive finder, it syncs with my ios devices... but if i export a file from an ios device to icloud drive, it takes well over 20 minutes before it shows up in the finder in OSx, if it shows at all...

anyone experienced that???

My iCloud Drive has been very slow to update in Yosemite, so it may just be Apple's servers getting hammered.

well its strange because if i log on icloud.com the files are there... but if i look in my finder, they are not. (yes im signed in).

plus why dont all the defaults folders appear??

When I clicked on iCloud Drive in Yosemite, I got nothing as well. It didn't even switch over and it still was showing my Home screen in finder. When I right clicked on it to put it in a new tab, it was blank. :rolleyes:

When selected from the left bar on finder, iCloud Drive doesn't show anything, right? Only white.

Ok, this happened to me during the beta (I accidentally enabled iCloud Drive, damm it) an I reported it throug the Feedback Assistant. I see nobody read my feedback, because this was pointed out and nobody on Apple cares?

There is, though, a fix. Try entering iCloud Drive throughout other ways other than the left Finder bar. For instance, from the folder that contains iCloud Drive (Home folder? I don't remember). That worked for me.

If I understand things correctly, the Finder side bar for iCloud Drive points to /Users/<user>/Library/Mobile Documents. This is the local repository for the documents that is synced with the iCloud itself.

This makes it possible to access the documents while offline and provides a backup copy. Dropbox works the same way. Moving documents to the cloud does not reduce the disk space used on the Mac.

I had the same problem right after a clean install. Rebooting fixed it.
