So whenever I travel with my mac I disconnect Dropbox and upon reaching home I reconnect and sync.

With icloud drive anyone could steal my laptop and there is no passcode protection I would have to sign out of icloud completely.

Icloud is cheaper than Dropbox but it is way behind in functionality! Agree?

iCloud is already password protected by your account ID password. Unless you aren’t using common sense security procedure with your Mac, and leaving it unlocked all the time, along with using a weak password without 2FA, I really don’t see the need for double passwords on the account.

Imho icloud needs to be fixed there is slow syncing and not as convenient as Dropbox. If apple has to make money from services then they really need to fix icloud drive. Ofcourse some may disagree...
