So how does iCloud drive work exactly. I added a bunch of files to my drive and If i use the iCloud beta site it shows my files but I can't download them, also when i look at my iCloud storage it shows no space used when it should have like 20 GB taken. Is there a way to start a sync, or see the upload progress?

Everything is still in beta. I don't believe iCloud drive will be fully functional until OS X Yosemite releases in the fall.

First to impaler: *slap* That link is useless.

Here is my worry about iCloud Drive whilst playing with it:

What things will I want to back up most?

Music
Movies

Can you use iCloud drive with iTunes? I see absolutely no way to do this.
I even changed the media location and it doesn't seem to want to work at all.

What does this mean?

Duplicate copies of everything. 1 in drive (still stored on local machine), 1 in iTunes (again local machine)

I dont understand the value here. If iCloud drive will not sync iTunes data across all my devices seamlessly. What the hell is the point?

To the OP regarding usage space. It will eventually update you just have to wait a while.
