This is one of the fundamental feature flaws IMO. The iOS iWork apps can only open documents in the "Numbers", "Keynote" and "Pages" folders - which is rather pointless IMO.

Yes popped in ask same thing... just purchased more storage added all my photos and no way of viewing them unless its on my mac
iphoto dont work on my iphone 5 also... any thoughts on this people

You can see that iOS screen from any app that implements the new 'iOS8 Document Picker' API.

I only know of DropBox adding support, as both a registered 'iOS8 Storage Provider' but also implemented the 'iOS8 Document Picker' to access other 'iOS8 Storage Providers' such as iCloud Drive.

From WAAAAAAY back in July.

I could quibble about there being no iCloud Drive app, so i can't simply browse all my files, or that there doesn't yet seem to be a way to access Document Picker from within the Mail app, like there is the ImagePicker. As a first step, however, both iCloud Drive and Document Picker are grand.

Since Extensibility lets third party storage providers like Dropbox and corporate document stores hook in as well, they maintain much of the simplicity of iOS while returning much of the power of computing.

Without a standalone app for ios, I think icloud drive will be a very lackluster service and certainly one I won't be using. It's bad enough that we're presented with a horrible UI within the icloud.com platform, but no standalone app? Come'on man.

If you are curious how the document picker will behave, download iMovie for iOS. It has the new document picker which allows choosing any folder from iCloud drive.

Right, but the doc picker is app specific. So if I have a random PDF or JPG (not in my photo stream) in a folder, I am unable to view/send/download it on my IOS device.
