My fiancé got iCloud set up today but whenever I send from my iCloud account on my iPhone or iPad to her iCloud account I get an error stating
"The recipient xxxx@me.com was rejected by the server because the user is unknown."
She is able to send email to me from this account and sending her mail from my gmail account is working. Sending from the iCloud web interface works fine as well. Any ideas what could be causing this issue? Both running iOS 5.

Similar issue. But in my case I get an error sending from the iPad @me.com iCloud account (p05-smtp.mail.me.com fails to connect).

Same here, exact same server. From both iPhone and Air. I thought of manually changing it to a generic SMTP like described HERE, but then I'd lose the simplicity of the settings. I figured I'd give it a day or two to get over the flood-crashing ;)

Thought this might be fixed this morning - it is NOT. Who else is experiencing iCloud email server issues?

I got this once this morning and just quite mail and restarted the app. I can send messages from my iOS5 iPhone 4...and now they're appearing for me in MAIL, but for about 40 minutes mail would just give me the above error and ask for a password over and over again,

I set up iCloud OK and used my old @me account.

But shouldn't I now have iCloud listed in my mail accounts on my iPhone?

well you gotta make sure you setup your iPhone to take cloud as well, both devices need to be configured...or at least i had too. basically it just asked for your @me name and pass.

Right now I'm trusting iCloud to sync my bookmarks, contacts, and calenders.

Gmail is still my email provider. I find the combo works great so far.

Some day Google will become like an evil facist empire. They'll make u trade human slaves in order to get Pop or SMTP support along with Google+:D
