Is anyone else experiencing this? My iCloud emails are not pushing like how gmail is set up with exchange. I would have to press on mail app then go to iCloud inbox for it to retrieve new mail.

Is there a solution to this or is this how it is? Please chime in.

Don't know if this is related to me but my yahoo e-mail wasn't pushing to me either but when i created a me.com account for e-mail and switched e-mail on it worked great....

my gmail account's weren't pushing to me properly :/ I'd have to manually check each time.

I am testing it atm. Sent myself an email. My mac mail app got it within 30seconds, my ipod (2nd gen on wifi) 5 minutes later and my iPhone 4s (on wifi) hasn't had it 'pushed' to it yet. It's been 13 minutes now since I sent it lol. Kinda strange.

Using a gmail account.

Do you have a me.com account through icloud?

I didn't get push e-mails on my iphone 4 until I created this account and set the mail to on.

I'm using yahoo mail.

Yeah I created a @me.com one and mail is switched on.

Maybe it's just really slow. If I keep push on and turn on fetch for 'every 15 minutes' if it fails to push will it automatically fetch them instead?

Yeah if you don't get push it would just fetch but it should work if me.com is on.

I have the same problem. I was a MobileMe member before but I switched to iCloud and now my mail doesn't get pushed anymore. Push is enabled in settings. I've rebooted, turned push on and off but still no luck.

Did you go past turning Push on?

Go to advanced and make sure its set up to push, fetch, or manual.

Delete icloud account from settings, choose remove all data from popup prompt. Re-add iCloud account. It will work.

Make sure your mac has a backup etc.

After I delete my iCloud account, when I try to sign back in, do I use my original apple ID or should I just use my new @me.com to log in.

Has anybody found a way around this? I just setup my mom's iPad with a brand new @me address and it doesn't push, have to manually check for emails everytime...

Thanks,

Rob

It's off and on for me - sometimes it pops up and sometimes I have to check manually.

Is this a consistent issue for everyone? After moving my MobileMe account to iCloud, my mail will Push only some of the time. I have my Gmail forwarded to my MobileMe/iCloud address and never had an issue before the move. Now I sometimes have emails pushed to my phone and other times I open the mail app to find several new emails that never pushed automatically. I have triple checked my settings and everything is set correctly. iCloud is always set to Push but sometimes I only get new mail by opening the app.

if you want gmail to push you can set it up as an exchange account. there's a few tutorials out on it to do it this way.

I'm actually looking for a fix for iCould email to push not fetch every x amount of minutes. My gmail is already pushing so that is all good. Now if I can get my iCloud @me.com email address to push, I'll be happy.

Well I just did a number of tests using both my iPhone and iPad and nothing was pushed to either device. I left both sitting for 10 mins. or so and finally manually checked and the messages were there. I just think iCloud is really having a lot of startup problems.
