Just had this problem develop today.. When I read an email on my iPad, the "read" status is not updating on my iPhone, once I enter the apple email app. It shows the same email that I read on the iPad, as "unread" on the iPhone. In other words, the action taken on my iPad or icloud.com is not reflecting on my iPhone. Anyone have any idea's? I already deleted the iCloud account from my iPhone and re-added it...That did nothing. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I know iCloud doesn't "push" the read, delete status. However, once you enter the apple mail app, it typically refreshes and will update the status.

I know this won't be much help to you, but:

iCloud Mail is some of the worst software I've ever used. It's total crap. Do yourself a favour and migrate to something else. Personally I'm using a Gmail -> Outlook combo (for the benefits of using Exchange sync, which is flawless). Email shows up in my Outlook automatically through forwarding, and email sent through Outlook actually sends through the Gmail SMTP thanks to Outlook settings.

I hear ya...I am thinking of moving away from iCloud mail.
