When iCloud comes out next month will you get an email address once you setup your account like you did with MobileMe?

I don't have MobileMe or an @me.com or @mac.com email address.

So when iCloud comes out will I be able to set one up?

yes you can set one up. when you flick on mail in the iCloud menu, it asks you to pick an address.

There is no possible way to get a gmail address and a university address synced through mail on iCloud?

Both run through google.

Thanks,

D

you would just add them onto the phone as separate email accounts, they don't go through iCloud, so for gmail use google sync (if you just want email then just leave 'mail' turned on when you set it up and the rest turned off)

for your university email you will have to use their settings perhaps IMAP, for the settings you may have to look on your universities website or ask the IT department, some universities will not let outside email clients have access other than the webmail so be warned.
