iCloud enabling problem

I have just updated to IOS 5 and i am stuck in the setup at iCloud backup. Keeps saying 'problem enabling iCloud backup' and im stuck here. If i choose later when i press next it tries iCloud again and i get the same message. Does anyone know if this is an Apple problem or a problem on iPhone 4.

I'm having this problem on my mac because I have yet to receive my verification email for the email i'm using as my Apple ID.

I revived the email. It seems not the email confirmation problem

Solved by using iTunes forcing iCloud backup

I did this to, but on the phone it still says there is a problem and last backup: never. Any other thoughts?
