just want to confirm this is only for 64bit win10.
I tried installing in 32bit & the installer ran but none of the settings took, no way to start the program.
I saw (under an asterisk) on the apple site 64 bit required.
I been trying to get my chrome bookmarks imported to safari & been going thru ridiculous hassle doing it.

Yes, that is correct that iCloud for Windows only runs in 64-bit Windows, so if you are running 32-bit Windows unfortunately that would not work to transfer bookmarks from Chrome to Safari. Do you by any chance have access to a Mac? That is another way to transfer your bookmarks. Alternatively, you could use Chrome on your iPhone instead of Safari if you're willing to switch browsers.

I installed icloud on another computer with w10-64b ok. Added extention to chrome & set it up, rebooted but still no bookmarks in safari on iphone. Just the ones I added manually.

Is the "Bookmarks" option is selected in the Windows application? Is the "Safari" option checked on iCloud settings on the iPhone?

on iphone/icloud/apps using icloud, the safari switch is turned on.
in win10/chrome, the bookmarks are synced.
One thing I did notice is on win10/chrome I'm signed in with google email ad but on iphone my apple id uses a diff email ad.
Could that be the problem?

good news is I got it working, bad news is I'm not sure how.
I fired up my old thinkpad which also has win10-64, d/l icloud for win & set it up then turned on sync in win10/chrome & the bm appeared on iphone.
Only thing I can think of was I wasn't signed in to google acct on laptop so maybe it was just a matter of signing out/in would have fixed it.

I'm glad to hear that it ended up working! I'd be kind of surprised if the Google account associated with Chrome has a factor with the Apple ID associated with iCloud, but perhaps I'm wrong. Sometimes iCloud is finicky though, and I've had times when just signing out and back in, re-syncing, etc. seemed to solve the problem.
