So for those who use iCloud for windows, how has it been?

Let me back the trolley up a bit for the reason why I'm asking.

I have a ThinkPad X1 Extreme, and a few weeks ago, I was incurring some BSODs. Its a fairly new laptop which up until then was stable. Long story short, I wiped the computer and installed a fresh version of windows (from MS) and I'm back to having a solid laptop.

With the exception of iCloud for Windows a couple of other apps, I've reinstalled everything but a handful of haps, including iCloud for windows. So any users for iCloud for Windows - how has that app been? I recall seeing an issue back in late 2018 with windows 10, so I don't know how things are right now.

I'm running it on a 2010 13" MBP in 64-bit Windows 10, and I find that it's quite a CPU hog. Since I don't really need iCloud access in that particular Bootcamp environment, I'll probably just disable it. If I needed cloud storage for Windows more often, I'd give a hard look to OneDrive or Dropbox instead.

Thanks for the reply and I do use OneDrive. I initially found iCloud appealing because I have my iMac, which uses iCloud and stores its documents in iCloud. Another plus for me was to have my iCloud contacts synced into Outlook.

So far, I've been living w/o iCloud and its been fine, so maybe I'll just live without it, to be safe.
