With iOS5 using iCloud, how do I go about syncing my calendar to multiple devices?

I have entries with iCal on my MBP. From there I was able to sync to both my iPhone and Ipad. What I did and I'm sure wasn't the correct way, was to plug both iPhone/Ipad to my MBP and sync via iTunes.

How do I go about and sync those devices with my iMac? I thought that all I would need to do was to connect my iPhone to the iMac and sync via iTunes. I tried that and it is not working.

thanks

iCal with iCloud has 2 sets of calendars listed. One for 'on my mac' and one for 'iCloud'. What I did was uncheck all of the on my mac ones and left iCloud checked. Everything know syncs between iCal, iPad and iPhone. You must also enable syncing of calendars on the devices. To do so, go to Settings>iCloud and turn on calendars.
