I used to have all of my classes for school in their own calendar, within a calendar group in iCal 'On my Mac'.

Now that ive updated to iOS 5 and iCloud, all of my calendars were moved to 'iCloud' and now my Calendar groups are gone, all the calendars remain, just no longer in groups. I really liked being able to group my classes together to organize, but now when i try and create a new calendar group, it makes it under the 'On My Mac' category, and I can't seem to group my 'iCloud' calendars.

Anyone with similar issues or suggestions?

Thanks very much!

+1 here. So many of the features have been changed (upgraded??) that I’m forced over to BusyCal.

FWIW, seems iCal is being striped of all of its features.
reminders are a poor substitute for the basic to-dos.
can’t group calendars in iCloud.
its even been many moons since the great loss of the side info panel. (the popup balloons are annoying to navigate to—and why should we press an edit button? Common sense would dictate that we want to edit the info!)
ugly “leather” skin.
UGH, the list goes on and on, sorry for the rant sbagg89.

@ Please bring back the elegant simple effective ical. Poor design guys.

Calendar Groups

Since the arrival of iCloud, iCal only allows me to create Calendar Groups on "My Mac". This feature is currently unavailable on the iCloud calendars. As a teacher, I need to create groups to manage all my different classes. Before, I could uncheck my one Calendar group and everything included was removed from the calendar view. This is helpful to manage personal vs. professional life in the same app. When I now sync iCal with iCloud, my Calendar Groups are undone and all the different classes are shown as different calendars. I wish apple would look into that matter more seriously.
