Hi,

I have a 50Gb iCloud account that I use with my Macbook Pro and iPhone. All was working fine, with my photos and documents etc being nicely backed up onto the cloud.

My desktop is generally empty and forms part of my iCloud backup. A month or two ago I put a load of large movie files on there when copying them from my memory card. They uploaded to the cloud and filled my storage completely.

I have since deleted the files from my desktop but my iCloud remains full. No amount of syncing seems to help. I have tried signing in and out of iCloud and turning off iCloud drive.

Any ideas would be very gratefully received!

Tom

"The truth is on the cloud" as Steve Jobs said - try logging in to iCloud.com in a web browser, and see if the movies are still in your iCloud Drive.

They aren't. Documents accounts for 30Gb according to icloud.com but it should be less than 2. The extra 28Gb must be the movies but I can't find any way of viewing them. They no longer exist on my Mac and have been deleted from trash and can't be viewed as files on iCloud.com.
