Hi all,

I use iCloud Keychain and it's great for the most part ... but for some reason when I use one particular site (where I don't want it to save my password), it keeps asking me to save it. If I'm on the site, I get the dialogue box to save the password every time I change pages in that site, but there is no option to 'never ask for this website'.

In looking around for a way to force it not to ask, I can't find one.

Anyone know of a solution to this?

Ty.

iCloud Keychain doesn't provide a specific feature to exclude a single website from saving passwords.

Hi Cyby, I'm back ...

So it turns out your comment is not actually accurate. I have a Mac and my only browser installed at this time is Safari with iCloud keychain as my only password manager. That said, when I created an account on a site yesterday, Safari offered me the usual options of saving my password, but also the option to 'never ask for this site'. I took that option, and the site now appears in my password list with a - for the login name and 'never saved' listed in the password area. So there IS a way to do it ... and iCloud keychain/Safari DO offer the option.

Now, as pleased as I am for knowing this is possible, I still can't figure out how to go back and update other sites or passwords. It seems random as to when I get this option.

If anyone else knows how to trigger the 'never ask for this site' password option, it would be appreciated.

Cheers!

SOLUTION:

Although there is no way to 'edit' an existing password to no save, you can easily accomplish the same thing by doing the following:

- Delete existing pw entry from iCloud Keychain.
- Close safari and reopen.
- Go to website and login per normal, entering your login and pw for the site.
- Upon logging in or attempting to, you will now receive the option to 'never save for this site'.
- It will show up in your iCloud Keychain on Mac as a unique type of pw entry.

Not sure how this works anywhere else, but tested it on Mac and worked every time.

Cheers.
