this version is different with no data connection and this time you can restore the iPhone to factory settings.
This means if someone finds your iPhone in the street etc. Find my iPhone feature could be easily turned off without the owners's password and consequently iPhone could be erased and restored to factory settings.
And how would they bypass the screen lock? This is one of the reasons to add a lock code.
I feel this is a non-issue until people discover how to bypass the screen lock.

in fact, you'd be surprised how many don't.
By the same logic not everyone by far would have Find My iPhone and thus Activation Locked enabled (even if they might have a passcode too).hmm except that it is not?
