Is anybody having problems getting into iCloud Mail today?

I've tried iCloud Mail on my Mac, iPhone and iCloud.com and it's not working.

Other iCloud functions such as contacts sync are working fine.

Mobile.me is totally down for me. Haven't upgraded to iCloud as I'm still on 10.6

Since the iOS 5/iCloud rollout, I haven't seen such a comedy of errors from Apple's online services. So many reliability issues that are really starting to sour the whole experience for me.

Just a comedy of errors on the Mail side with this iCloud launch. Between the constant downtime and the flaky push, it is really a black eye on a product that seemed to have so much potential.

I ended up having to go back to Google so I could reliably get my mail. I feel for any of you whose primary address ends in @me.com now, as you're currently getting an inferior product and having your Apple loyalty taken for granted.

I hope Apple can get this turned around and make iCloud stable at the very least on the Mail side. I doubt it will ever have the functionality of Google Mail, but for most that isn't too big a deal.

Down AGAIN!!! This happened last week...and the week before.

This is absolutely horrible on the part of Apple. Email is a basic function. I can understand if they had problems with the iTunes match service or something, but this is a recurring theme. Totally unacceptable....

This is exactly why I converted everything to gmail a while back when they announced the whole iCloud thing. I already went through this pain once with MM, I wasn't going to give Apple another chance to the same. Why does Apple think they have to keep changing things? Just about the time they get one thing mostly stable (MobileMe) they change it again. Just plain dumb.

Me too

At 12:15 EST, in Vt. Worked earlier this AM. Not encouraging as I remember Steve Jobs' rant about MM reliability problems when they announced iCloud. It would appear we are now getting what we pay for.

Down for me as well, on iPhone, iPad, iMac and icloud.com! Waiting for a reply to an important email as well!

3 times it's gone down now since it went live, coming from MobileMe I was hoping for better! So frustrating!!

Really want to move to gmail but love my @me.com address

Not trolling. Both iCloud and iPhone worked again for me. I've only tested twice this morning so I might be lucky hitting it between intermittent outages.

I have been having some serious issues today with my mail, too. I have an important email sitting in my inbox on my phone that I can't access, I can see the message but it won't load.

I went to the Express Lane with Apple just to try to get an estimation out of them that is more specific than ASAP, and all they told me was that "it usually resolves itself within an hour or two" ... too bad my email has been down for about four, now. They also asked if I wanted to go through some troubleshooting steps.. I asked him if he really thought that would help, considering this is all on Apple's side? Lol. The Apple equivalent of "please unplug your router and let it sit for ten seconds." :p

Thank's for the replies - sounds like it's not just me then! I spent an hour on the phone to Apple Care and they couldn't resolve it. It's still a problem for me this morning. Very frustrating.

Update - I sent an email to my @me email address yesterday as a test. It's just bounced back with: "Message expired for domain me.com. Remote host said: 451 4.2.1 mailbox temporarily disabled"

Have not had MM push mail in 3 days either. iCloud does not work on the other members of the fam either.

Typical really. In the process of looking for other options, but it's not easy when you have been so loyal to the ecosystem with multiple aliases and email accounts for specific needs in communication.

I definitely agree that it is not easy, and I am not all there yet even after starting the change soon after iCloud was announced, but I felt like I had to do something. Now I am glad I at least started on the change, and these issues give me impetus to complete the change.
