Hi, I set up some mail rules in IOS7 iCloud. I went to could.com and into mail and into create rules. I then deleted those rules and they still occur? (e.g. mail from ABC still goes to folder XYZ).

what is going on here....

please help, apple support can't even help me

Your email is confusing - iOS 7 iCloud? iOS 7 does not handle creation nor application of mail rules.

The rules can be either server-based (done on icloud.com), and/or client based (on Mail on OS X, or another mail client like Outlook). Server rules are typically applied before client rules. Check any clients you use. icloud.com's site can be a bit flaky too - see if the rules are there - if not, re-create them and remove them again. Might be a hiccup. I've found email forwarding sometimes take two takes to work.

hi, my rules are via icloud.com for my iphone 5 running ios 7 (sorry about confusuon) I agree icloud.com isflaky. I set up rules, deleted them, but they still seem to work. i can try to re create, but i dont remember all of them.
ugh... this is so annoying.... i will give it a shot

How long did you wait before checking to see the rules were no longer in effect?

At the bottom of the page on apples site explaining rules it says:

Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for new or changed rules to take effect on incoming messages.

Have you gone back in to the rules page to check that they are in fact gone? Maybe they didn't get deleted. If you don't click done the changes won't be applied.

Well they'd most likely still be there if you did not click done.

Have you tried renaming the folders the rules were set to send mail too? It seems this breaks any rules and they must be manually updated to the new folder. So maybe it will stop yours from continuing to work:confused:

I love Apple and their products,

But their web services are a pile of ****.

I moved away from Google to Apple services and I'm regretting more and more :/

From constant emails not being delivered, to Reminders not syncing, to not being able to share a calendar without the other persons getting the calendar reminders...

I really hope they fix this during iOS8 or I'm jumping back on Gmail.

I went back to Gmail last week - I'm in a post-graduate course and rely on sending stuff home from the classroom to my home email to work on at night - and no WAY I'm trusting iCloud mail. I do use all other aspects of iCloud though.
