Hey, so about 3 weeks ago my eBay account was hacked, the password was reset and the bad guys charged a few iPhones. Pain in the ass but eBay cut it off, covered the liability and everything was good. (I should mention that my email associated with eBay account was my iCloud email)

about a day later I started getting spam email bombed like crazy! I’m taking like 100 emails every few hours. Bear in mind before this I used only get a few a month.

I can’t stop it!

I tried sitting down one day for a few hours manually assigning to spam but it seems to keep generating newer mail address that haven't been blocked.
PLEASE HELP
I’ve found very little help on the web

Unfortunately, there’s pretty much nothing you can do. I would suggest you get a new email address. I know it’s a real pain but I don’t think you’ve got much choice other than accepting you’re going to receive more and more spam.

apple's tools to combat spam that is sent to an account name that is being used a main iCloud address are totally inadequate !

although inadequate, assuming you need/want to keep yr current iCloud address here is what you can do:

1 consider using the built in name@mac.com (or name@me.com if your account goes way back - but maybe this is no longer possible as an option as it used to be) as your main new address.
doing this causes yr friends who continue to use yr old name no problems in reaching you.
just make sure to change all instances in apple sites to this new mail address.

2 then go to iCloud.com and set up an easy mail Rule:
2.1 any incoming mail that includes info@ from the sender AND being sent to yr old address gets put automatically into the deleted mail box
i have found that most spam sent to an iCloud address in fact comes from spoofed addresses with the name "info@"
2.2 create a 2nd rule that any mail that contains a bit.ly link is automatically put into the deleted mail box

3 don't use yr mail address for anything other than apple sign in sites
in iCloud.com create 3 email alias:
3.1 one email address for yr very close friends and family
3.2 one email address for other persons and general company/website sign ins
3.3 one email address for any credit card/banking site
3.4 register a new gmail.com address as a verified address for sites you presume will be used to generate email spam messages

if you want to use apple tools, the above are the only things you can do
since, the block email address method from apple is totally brain dead other than trying to block email from known email addresses/senders. totally inadequate tool from apple.
