iCloud messages

Hello,

Can anyone please explain the advantages of having iCloud messages feature that will be enables in the next IOS versions?

My messages are already synced between iPad, iPhone and Mac, having them the same iCloud account so I do understand what iCloud messages will bring.

Your messages are received by all your devices, but they are not synced. Big difference. Try deleting a message on one device and see what happens on the others.

I think the biggest draw will be if you restore your phone and setup as new, you’ll be able to get all your messages back just by entering your AppleID just like your photos, contacts and other info stored on the cloud
