On iOS, is there a way to tell what music you uploaded from your own collection to differentiate between what you've added from Apple Music?

What i'm hoping for is some sort of filter or menu that will let me see songs I own and that I ripped. Say I want to play all the songs I ripped and put on my iPhone, is there a way?

This is a dealbreaker question for me!

The file name extension will stay the same. it will not be replaced with the Apple music one (.m4a) You can create a smart play list as suggested, or if you want enable the "kind" column under songs. (Switch to "Songs" view, right click on columns and select "Kind" if not already checked), then click the Kind column to sort by format..

That may not always work 100% either, in fact, smart play lists won't, but i've come to the conclusion, these methods only 'help''

They never solve anything.

Thanks for all the replies! The smart playlist is a good idea. I found the answer; there is a menu item called 'downloaded music' in the library tab which does the job of showing everything I transferred to iTunes myself. Case closed!
