It appears that the iCloud music upload for ios5 is not available in Switzerland.

The people at the Genius bar informed me that this is due to some issue.

My concern is that Apple did not communicate that this service was not available in switzerland very clearly (I assume their lawyers have written some obtuse sentence somewhere which I obviously did not see).

I think that :

- majors are killing themselves with this country-wise nonsense

- apple is killing its reputation by not informing its customers fairly on limitations of its services

Boooo.....well this is nothing new ever since I noticed youtube blocking certain videos a couple of years ago. BTW ibooks in Switzerland used to have only Project Gutenberg books but now they have commercial titles as well. Not that I really use ibooks that much but maybe they will eventually allow itunes match.

Its a problem with licensing and music distribution. Each country has their own issues for Apples lawyers to work thru...
